Hi guys. Long time no update.

As many of you may know, I’m in the middle of completing my Masters in Global Affairs at NYU. Since March, I’ve been interning with International Peace Park Expeditions (IPPE)as their Communication Fellow.

IPPE a non-profit organization that promotes environmental peacebuilding through experiential learning. They create accredited academic expeditions with partner Universities, in close collaboration with their local partner organizations.

This semester, I will be to travel to the South Korean DMZ and Hiroshima, Japan to work on IPPE’s newest expedition: The Ethnology of Environmental Peacebuilding in South Korea and Japan. Since this is an unpaid internship, I need to raise funds to cover my field work expenses.

I ask you to please consider donating to my project.  So far, I have raised 6% toward my goal.

For my peacebuilding project, I will travel to the DMZ and Hiroshima Peace Park to create a communication strategy for marketing the expedition, and located the resources necessary for IPPE to successfully promote their new academic expedition.

My goal this summer is to create a promotional package directed at university students so that they may take part in this expedition, and learn what actions they can take toward improving the environment.

Once IPPE has marketed the DMZ and Hiroshima Peace Park Expedition to their partner universities, and the students have completed the trip, the students can become involved in environmental peacebuilding.

Through the experiential learning experience, the students’ and all the stakeholders’ perspectives change as they gain a new awareness towards environmentally sustainable, conflict sensitive, and culturally aware peacebuilding on all levels, starting at the local level.

In turn, through their peacebuilding actions to have environmentally sustainable and conflict sensitive programming protect the environment, they will become closer to meeting the be supporting the United Nations Sustainable Developmental Goals and the Paris Accord starting on a micro-level in their communities, with room to develop programs on the regional, national, and international levels.

If you have any questions about my project or feel that you can give in alternative ways, please contact me.

Much thanks.

“Life’s a pudding full of plums.”
W.S. Gilbert

Fourth day of constant blogging! It’s almost like being back in the 365 challenge again! I’m not sure exactly how it happened, but photography has been sparked – mostly by a few creations in the kitchen. This one is no exception, so look away now if you don’t like pudding!

Who doesn’t like pudding? Especially one that’s incredibly low in calories as this one. I’m not sure exactly how many, but there definitely wasn’t much. I recycled the glass dishes some time ago from a very nice (but naughty) cheesecake made by the company called GU. I thought the glasses would come in handy some day, and that day has come. So here’s the recipe…

Strawberry Smoothie with Ginger-nut Biscuit

The ingredients consisted of yesterdays left over blogged about smoothie. Basically strawberry, yoghurt, crushed ice and a dash of coconut and pineapple…

Puppy dog rolling off the bed (hilarious)

Watch this if you need a  good laugh. I couldn’t stop laughing for at least 10 minutes. Enjoy!

The story:
Lucky, my Mini Australian Shepard, was rolling around on a bed, trying to dry himself off after a bath. He was so busy trying to dry off that he didn’t realize he was at the edge of the bed and rolled right off.
